Flight details

  • Airline: Emirates
  • Class: First
  • Aircraft: Boeing 777-300
  • Route: Tokyo (HND) to Dubai (DXB)

Today, we are flying the world’s best first class on Emirates’ new Game Changer cabin. This is the only airline with digital windows, unlimited caviar, $500 champagne, fresh sushi, and world-class cabin crew.

Not only do you get a proper bed, but also your own private room. This is the most luxurious flight in the world and as close as you can get to a private jet experience.

Comparing First-Class Experiences

I’ve experienced a couple of first-class cabins over the past years.

Lufthansa, Etihad, and even Emirates’ Airbus A380 cabin with the famous shower. But nothing compares to this cabin. I am super excited to finally give it a try myself.

Our journey starts in Japan’s capital, Tokyo. This is currently the longest flight on Emirates’ new first class, with an 11-hour flying time. I figured this would be the ideal route to test today’s product.

Why Am I Flying First Class?

You’re probably wondering, what’s the occasion that I am flying First Class on Emirates today? Well, many of you know that I have a Patreon where you can purchase extra perks such as access to my WhatsApp group, my Q&A sessions, or early access to my videos.

One special perk allows you to pick an airline for me to review, and my good friend Sahil chose Emirates’ new first class. So here I am, flying Emirates’ Game Changer first class—this one’s for you, Sahil! If you want me to review a certain airline, no matter where in the world, check out my Patreon.

Now, let’s make our way to the gate and check out the actual product. Let me tell you—I am very, very excited for this!

Boarding Emirates’ New First Class

First Impressions

The warm welcome from the crew sets the tone for an unforgettable flight. I am directed to my seat 2F. The moment I step into the Emirates First Class cabin, I am overwhelmed.

The first impression? Wow. What a beautiful design. It looks fancy, it looks classy, it just feels overwhelming in the best way possible.

I settle in with a cup of Arabic coffee, served by my Japanese cabin crew, and prepare to take in everything this luxurious cabin has to offer.

The Mind-Blowing Features

One of the most impressive features of this cabin is the three digital windows. Since I have a middle seat, I’m nowhere near the actual windows, yet I can still see what’s happening outside.

These digital windows are connected to an external camera, allowing me to experience takeoff as if I were sitting next to a real window. Whoever came up with this idea is an absolute genius!

Of course, I had to try the Dom Pérignon champagne, an Emirates signature for first-class passengers. I’m usually not a big champagne drinker, but since I’m traveling first class and my mom is a massive champagne fan, I had to make her jealous.

Paired with my favorite snack, olives, this is truly the best way to start the journey.

Caviar & Fine Dining at 35,000 Feet

The crew once again goes above and beyond. Before we continue, let’s indulge in something truly associated with first class—caviar! Emirates serves unlimited caviar, a luxury that is rare in air travel. This alone makes the experience feel incredibly special.

Sushi & Gourmet Dining

Next on the agenda is sushi. Fresh, top-quality, and absolutely delicious. The sea bass and eggplant dish were also outstanding. The eggplant was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful. However, the fish was a bit dry and underwhelming, something you’d expect in economy class rather than first class.

The Private Suite Experience

After the meal, I enjoy a coffee while standing in my private suite. The room is massive, with artificial windows, a huge chair, ambient lighting, a massive screen, and even a personal mini-bar. It truly feels like a five-star hotel in the sky.

Sleeping in the Sky

Time to convert my seat into a bed. While it’s comfortable, it’s not the widest bed for a first-class cabin, especially given the high ticket price. Still, it’s a sensational experience.

Luxury Amenities

Apart from the slippers and pyjamas which were very comfortable, I was also given an amenity kit.

This one is quite heavy and packed with essentials—shaving foam, razor, dental kit, cleansing towel, tissues, earplugs, lip balm, and cologne from Bvlgari. A high-quality brand that screams luxury.

The Morning Experience & Breakfast

After a good night’s sleep, I wake up with just two more hours to go. The bed turned out to be very comfortable and the pillow was amazing. Now, it’s time for breakfast!

The meal consists of an omelet with mushrooms, hash browns, freshly baked croissants out of the oven, fresh orange juice, and water. Even though I don’t have a window seat, I still get to enjoy the outside view thanks to the digital windows… how cool is that?

The breakfast was truly first-class quality, especially the hash browns—sensational!

Bottom Line: Is Emirates First Class Worth It?

Is Emirates First Class worth it? Definitely, if you can afford it. It’s an experience that feels surreal, like having your own little apartment on an airplane. From the incredible service to the gourmet meals, digital windows, and luxurious features, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

At the same time, it’s important to remember that many passengers are crammed into the economy section, probably feeling miserable. This is a privilege, and I don’t take it for granted.

Comparing it to other first-class products I’ve flown, Emirates First Class stands out as an iconic experience.
