After years of constant travel, long layovers, early departures, and late-night arrivals have become part of my routine. One thing I have learned very quickly is that choosing the right airport hotel can completely change your travel experience. A good airport hotel saves time, reduces stress, and sometimes even becomes a highlight of the trip itself.
Below is a selection of some of the best airport hotels I have personally stayed at around the world. These are places I return to for their comfort, location, service, and overall reliability. If you are planning a trip and need a solid airport stay, these are all excellent options.

1. Courtyard by Marriott London Heathrow Airport (United Kingdom)

This is one of my go-to hotels when flying in or out of London Heathrow. It is perfectly located for early morning departures and late arrivals, with easy access to the terminals.
The rooms are modern, quiet, and well soundproofed, which is essential around one of the world’s busiest airports. Beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious, and the overall experience is exactly what you expect from Courtyard by Marriott. The hotel also offers reliable dining options and a smooth check-in process, even late at night.

2. Crowne Plaza Changi Airport (Singapore)

If there is one airport hotel that truly stands out globally, it is the Crowne Plaza at Singapore Changi Airport. This hotel feels more like a luxury city hotel than an airport property.
Directly connected to the terminals, it offers exceptional rooms, a beautiful outdoor pool, and consistently excellent service. The quietness of the rooms is impressive given how close you are to the airport. For long layovers or overnight connections, this is about as good as it gets.
